Artist Statement

An artwork about shedding any negative stereotypes associated with nuclear energy. By creating a cooling tower-shaped collage, solely from imagery of animals and plants, the aim is to visually demonstrate the coherence between nuclear energy and the environment. I want to challenge viewers' thinking around nuclear energy, and at the same time, educate them about the positive impact it's made in the energy field. For instance, if more people knew that the white clouds emitted from cooling towers are nothing but harmless steam, it could help the public understand that atomic energy is the right environmentally sound option over fossil fuels. This simple fact could be the jumping-off point many people need to learn more about why nuclear energy is so important for the health and well-being of Earth and its inhabitants.
